The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq were set to open higher on Thursday, propped up by gains in Alphabet shares, while investors looked forward to monthly payrolls data due later in the week for clues on the Federal Reserve's policy actions. .N

At 9:04 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were down 0.02% at 36,104. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were up 0.27% at 4,568.5, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were up 0.59% at 15,908.5.
