Wall Street's main indexes were subdued on Tuesday after a strong run of gains in November as investors remained cautious ahead of Federal Reserve officials' comments that could offer some clues on the interest rate path. .N

At 10:39 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.15% at 35,387.35. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.02% at 4,549.41 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.08% at 14,230.312.
