U.S. stock index futures surged on Thursday, with those tracking the Nasdaq climbing nearly 2% following the Federal Reserve's move to start its easing cycle with a half a percentage point cut, aiding a soft landing for the world's biggest economy..N

At 7:33 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were up 1.12% at 41,993. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were up 1.65% at 5,713.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were up 2.08% at 19,752.5.
