U.S. stock index futures jumped on Wednesday as risk appetite returned after a steep selloff earlier in the week, with sentiment also getting a boost from cautious comments on interest-rate hikes by an influential Bank of Japan policymaker. .N

At 7:59 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were up 0.86% at 39,478. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were up 1.02% at 5,319.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were up 1.14% at 18,385.75.
