Wall Street's main stock indexes rose over 1% on Tuesday, as investors looked for bargains after a global stock selloff and dovish comments from Federal Reserve officials lifted market sentiment. .N

At 12:14 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.22% at 39,175.66. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.74% at 5,276.66 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.81% at 16,492.856.
