Megacap stocks lifted the tech-heavy Nasdaq in volatile trading on Monday, while the S&P 500 and the Dow were flat, with focus moving to labor market data due later in the week for cues on the timing of interest rate cuts this year. .N

At 13:36 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.17% at 39,184.97. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.22% at 5,472.31 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.64% at 17,846.174.
