The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq hit record highs on Thursday, boosted by strong gains in Nvidia, while investors assessed recent economic data and commentary from Federal Reserve officials to gauge the timing of interest-rate cuts this year. .N

At 13:35 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.48% at 39,019.33. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.49% at 5,459.95 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.10% at 17,666.639.
