Italy's Prysmian CEO says big M&A deal will materialise soon in the U.S.

MILANO, May 30 (Reuters) - The head of Italian cable maker Prysmian PRY.MI said on Thursday that a "big" M&A deal in the United States will soon materialise for his company.
"We are working on organic growth and also on M&A and a big one is going to materialise in the U.S.", CEO Massimo Battaini said during an online event.
Last month Prysmian announced a $4.2-billion acquisition of Encore Wire WIRE.O, adding the deal was set to be completed in the second half of the year.
