The main U.S. indexes were set for a muted open on Tuesday, as investors refrained from placing big bets before AI chip leader Nvidia's earnings this week and amid policy caution from Federal Reserve officials ahead of the central bank's meeting minutes. .N

At 9:10 ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were down 0.03% at 39,933. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were down 0.07% at 5,328.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were down 0.26% at 18,714.
