Wall Street's main indexes fell in choppy trading on Wednesday with chip stocks among the top losers, while downbeat earnings reports from some industry majors, including insurer Travelers, added to the losses. .N

At 13:21 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.05% at 37,781.43. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.39% at 5,031.69 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.81% at 15,737.397.
