U.S. stock indexes fell on Tuesday, dragged down by megacap stocks and health insurers as investors grew concerned about the possibility of fewer interest rate cuts than expected from the Federal Reserve in the wake of strong economic data. .N

At 12:04 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 1.24% at 39,076.34. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 1.04% at 5,189.36 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.34% at 16,176.565.
